Job Description
The Assistant Electrical Inspector in the Kerala Electrical Inspectorate is tasked with implementing electrical safety rules, inspecting electrical installations, and ensuring conformity with statutory norms within the state. The position is appointed by direct recruitment. Applicants should have a Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution or university. The age relaxation is between 22–36 years. All selected candidates shall be required to go through a compulsory in-service training for one year, which will be taken into account while calculating service benefits. Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. 4% of the total posts shall be kept reserved for differently-abled candidates under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
Eligibility Criteria
Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government. Candidates must be within the age limit of 22–36 years with usual relaxations for SC/ST/OBC. All appointees must complete one year of in-service training. Rule 10(a)(ii) of KS & SSR is applicable. Equivalent qualifications by executive/standing orders shall be accepted with proof when required.
