Assistant Engineer (Civil)

Job Description

The Assistant Engineer (Civil) in the Kerala State Housing Board will be tasked with planning, designing, and implementing civil engineering works on housing and infrastructure. The candidate should have a Degree in Civil Engineering from a UGC-recognized university or any other equivalent institution recognized by the Kerala Government or the Central Government. CAD and STADD software knowledge is preferable. The recruitment is by direct appointment and involves 4% reservation in favour of differently abled candidates in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Rule 10(a)(ii) of KS&SSR comes into play. Provisional hands in the Board are qualified for age relaxation provided certified in proper terms. The Ranked List shall remain in force for not less than 1 year and up to 3 years and appointments from this list shall be made as vacancies occur.

Eligibility Criteria

Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university (UGC/Central/State Govt.). Candidates must be within the age limit of 18–36 years, with usual relaxations. Provisional hands can avail up to 5 years age relaxation subject to valid certification. Proficiency in CAD, STADD software is desirable. Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Equivalent qualifications recognized by Government orders are also accepted.
