Job Description

The Lecturer in Tool & Die Engineering in Government Polytechnic Colleges under the Department of Technical Education has the responsibility to provide quality technical education to students at the diploma level. The major job areas are curriculum planning, classroom teaching, laboratory management, and academic guidance. The applicants should have a First Class Bachelor's Degree in Tool & Die Engineering, or in Production Engineering or Production cum Plant Engineering, as accepted by the Government of Kerala. Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable here. Candidates with M.Phil, Ph.D., or Post Doctoral qualifications in desired subjects will be given weightage marks. The job has liability to work in Defence Services for 4 years within the first 10 years of service, subject to the condition that the candidates aged more than 40 years are not included. 4% of total vacancies are reserved for differently-abled candidates as per government norms. If a suitable candidate is not available in the DA-LV category, the vacancy will be advised in other DA categories or General category as per Section 34(2) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

Eligibility Criteria

First Class Bachelor's Degree in Tool & Die Engineering, Production Engineering, or Production cum Plant Engineering from a recognized University. Rule 10(a)(ii) of KS&SSR is applicable. Equivalent qualifications recognized by government orders will also be accepted. Non-qualifying degrees such as M.Phil, Ph.D., and Post Doctoral Fellowship in relevant fields will receive weightage marks if claimed before the last date of application. Candidates must be willing to serve in Defence Services for four years during the first ten years of service unless exempted due to age above 40.
