Job Description

The Non-Vocational Teacher in English (By Transfer) working under the Kerala Vocational Higher Secondary Education Department shall have the responsibility of teaching English subject curriculum with a 15 period or more work load per week. The candidate should possess a Postgraduate Degree in English with 50% marks and above from a recognized University in Kerala or equivalent and a B.Ed Degree in concerned subject or faculty. Applicants possessing M.Ed or exempted qualifications can also apply. Furthermore, the applicants should have cleared the State Eligibility Test (SET) or be eligible for exemption through NET, JRF, Ph.D, M.Phil, or M.Ed according to Kerala PSC rules. The vacancy is filled by By Transfer from eligible LP/UP School Teachers in General Education Subordinate Service. The probationary period will be two years within a continuous period of three years. Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS & SSR holds. The post is exempted from the reservation rules under rules 14-17 of KS & SSR.

Eligibility Criteria

Postgraduate Degree in English with at least 50% marks, B.Ed/M.Ed in the concerned subject or faculty, and SET qualification (or valid exemptions via NET, JRF, Ph.D, M.Phil, or M.Ed). Appointment is through By Transfer from eligible LP/UP School Teachers in General Education Subordinate Service. KS & SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Candidates must submit proof of eligibility and any exemptions at the time of application. Relaxation in PG marks (5%) available for SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates.
