Job Description
Online applications are invited via One Time Registration from qualified male candidates for Civil Excise Officer Driver in the Excise and Prohibition Department. Women and differently abled candidates are not eligible for this post. District-wise ranked lists will be prepared and remain in force for a minimum of one year and up to three years (or until a new list is published after one year), and candidates may apply to only one district. Selection includes a practical driving test comprising ‘T’ test (qualifying) and road test. Appointment by Direct Recruitment and by Transfer shall be in the ratio 3:1; unfilled By Transfer vacancies will be filled from the Direct Recruitment list. Separate weightage marks apply for NCC ‘A’/‘B’/‘C’ certificates, SPC certificate holders, and meritorious sports persons as per orders.
Eligibility Criteria
Male candidates with SSLC or equivalent; current valid HMV licence of 3 years’ standing with HGV/HPV endorsements and Driver’s Badge; must meet prescribed physical and medical standards; age 21–39 with permissible relaxations.
