Job Description

Applications are invited online only from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Ex-Servicemen candidates of Kerala State for the post of Clerk-Typist in the NCC/Sainik Welfare Department. The scale of pay is ₹26,500–60,700/- and one vacancy is reported in Thiruvananthapuram district. Candidates must hold SSLC or equivalent qualification, and possess lower grade certificates in Malayalam Typewriting (KGTE) and English Typewriting (KGTE) along with Computer Word Processing. Those without Malayalam Typewriting initially must acquire it before completing probation. Clerical service in the Armed Forces for a minimum of 15 years will also be deemed sufficient qualification, subject to acquiring Malayalam Typewriting later. Ex-servicemen who served as Clerks or Writers in Army, Navy, or Air Force under designated categories are eligible. The age limit is 18–50 years (born between 02.01.1975 and 01.01.2007), inclusive of military service, but shall not exceed 50 years. District-based recruitment rules apply, and candidates advised from one district cannot apply again in another until 5 years’ service is completed. Ranked list prepared will remain valid for at least one year and up to three years. Applications from non-SC/ST Ex-servicemen will be rejected without notice.

Eligibility Criteria

Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Ex-Servicemen only. SSLC pass with Malayalam Typewriting Lower (KGTE) or equivalent (can be acquired later if ex-servicemen), English Typewriting Lower (KGTE) and Computer Word Processing. Clerical experience in Armed Forces (minimum 15 years) also valid. Age 18–50 years inclusive of defence service, but not exceeding 50 years.
