Job Description

Applications are invited online only through One Time Registration for the post of Female Assistant Prison Officer in the Prisons and Correctional Services Department. The scale of pay is ₹ 27,900 – 63,700/-. Recruitment is through Direct Recruitment on a statewide basis. Vacancies are anticipated and will be filled from the ranked list prepared by the Commission, which shall remain in force for a minimum of one year and up to three years unless a new list is published. Only qualified female candidates are eligible; male and differently abled candidates are not eligible. Candidates must have passed SSLC or equivalent. Age should be 18-36 years, with relaxation for reserved categories, subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years. Every person appointed will be on probation for two years within three years and must undergo in-service training during probation. Passing the Kerala Jail Subordinate Officers Test within the probation period is mandatory, unless already completed. Seniority will be maintained statewide for promotion purposes.

Eligibility Criteria

Pass in SSLC or equivalent qualification. Only female candidates are eligible. Age 18–36 years (born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007), with relaxation as per rules for SC/ST/OBC; maximum upper age shall not exceed 50 years. Male candidates and differently abled candidates are not eligible. Rule 10(a)(ii) of KS & SSR is applicable.
