Job Description

Kerala PSC invites online applications for Beat Forest Officer (Recruitment By Transfer, categories 212–214/2025) in the Forest and Wildlife Department. Vacancies are anticipated district-wise across Kerala. Appointments are by transfer from eligible probationers among LDC/LD Typist/Forest Driver, Depot/Reserve/Tribal Watcher, and Last Grade Forest Service staff. Applicants must be aged below 40 years as of 01/01/2025 (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC) and hold Plus Two or equivalent (SSLC for employees in service before 30.08.2010). Only declared approved probationers in respective feeder categories can apply. Physical and fitness standards for the post are the same as for direct recruitment: minimum height (male: 168 cm, female: 157 cm; relaxations for SC/ST), chest measurement, physical efficiency, and clear medical certification are mandatory. District application rules, reservation, and specific transfer quotas (10%) apply. One district per candidate; submitting for multiple districts will cause disqualification in both lists. Differently abled candidates are not eligible.

Eligibility Criteria

Must be an approved probationer (LDC/LDT/Forest Driver, Depot/Reserve/Tribal Watcher, Last Grade Forest Service in Kerala Forest Dept), Plus Two/equivalent (if in service before 30.08.2010: SSLC/equivalent), age <40 (OBC/SC/ST relaxation as per rule), meet full forest physical/medical standards.
