Job Description

Online applications are invited via One Time Registration for the post of High School Teacher (Arabic) in Idukki district under the Education Department. One vacancy is reported, with a pay scale of ₹41,300–87,000/-. A district-wise ranked list for Idukki will remain in force for at least one year and up to three years, or until a new list is published after one year. Recruitment is on a revenue district basis; a candidate advised in one district is not eligible for transfer to another district before completing five years of continuous service, and even then subject to applicable transfer rules. Candidates must apply to Idukki and indicate the district accordingly. 4% reservation applies for eligible persons with benchmark disabilities as per prevailing orders. Educational qualification includes Degree in Arabic (or Degree with Arabic optional) with B.Ed/B.T/L.T in Arabic, or an accepted Oriental Learning Title with Language Teacher Training certificate; KTET Category III is mandatory unless exempted by specified orders. Preference/age concessions apply to eligible categories (e.g., wives of Jawans, First Class Scouts/Guides, eligible Laboratory Attenders, qualified Primary/Nursery Teachers) as per Government Orders; such claims must be marked under weightage and preferences in the OTR profile.

Eligibility Criteria

Degree in Arabic or Degree with Arabic optional plus B.Ed/B.T/L.T in Arabic; OR accepted Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic with Language Teacher’s Training certificate. KTET Category III required unless exempted by CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed orders. Age 18–40 (relaxations per rules). District of application: Idukki only.
