Job Description
Applications are invited online only through the Kerala PSC One Time Registration system for the post of Training Instructor (MMV) in the Scheduled Castes Development Department. The pay scale is ₹ 37,400-79,000/-. Vacancies will be filled first through By Transfer Recruitment (Category No. 358/2025) from among qualified employees of the Scheduled Castes Development Department, based on seniority. A separate Ranked List will also be prepared for Direct Recruitment (Category No. 359/2025), and candidates will be advised from this list if vacancies remain after all qualified By Transfer candidates are advised. Candidates must hold a three-year diploma in Engineering in the related trade from a Government-approved Polytechnic or equivalent. For By Transfer Recruitment, only candidates with 18 years minimum age as of 01.01.2025 are eligible (no upper limit). For Direct Recruitment, the age limit is 18-36 as on 01.01.2025, with usual age relaxation permitted for SC/ST/OBC and 4% reservation for PwD as per norms. Applicants for By Transfer recruitment must furnish a Service Certificate in the format specified by the Commission at the time of verification.
Eligibility Criteria
Three years Diploma in Engineering in the related trade (MMV) from a Government-approved Polytechnic or equivalent. For By Transfer Recruitment (358/2025): Minimum age 18, no upper age limit; service certificate required. For Direct Recruitment (359/2025): Age 18-36 (born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007) with normal relaxation for SC/ST/OBC; 4% of vacancies reserved for PwD. Rule 10(a)(ii) of KS & SSR applicable. Equivalent and higher qualifications as recognized by Government orders are also accepted.
