Job Description

Kerala Public Service Commission invites applications from qualified candidates for the post of Assistant Surgeon/Casualty Medical Officer in the Health Services department. If you are an MBBS graduate with a valid TCMC registration, this is your opportunity to serve in Kerala’s public health sector. The pay scale for the position is attractive, ranging from ₹ 63,700 to ₹ 1,23,700 per month. Selected candidates will be appointed through direct recruitment, and all applications must be submitted online via the Kerala PSC One Time Registration portal. Appointment comes with a mandatory service condition—four years of service during your first ten years may be in defence services or related areas, unless you are over 45 or eligible for exemption due to disability. Importantly, 4% of announced vacancies are reserved for differently abled candidates under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act. Usual relaxation rules apply for SC/ST and OBC candidates. Eligibility Criteria

MBBS degree or equivalent, valid registration with Travancore Cochin Medical Council (TCMC). Age 18-42 years, with age relaxation as per norms. Equivalent qualifications recognized by the government are accepted.
