Job Description

Kerala PSC invites applications for Higher Secondary School Teacher (Junior) – Arabic (Part-time, Sixth NCA, direct recruitment from SC and ST candidates). There are 4 posts for Scheduled Caste and 1 for Scheduled Tribe, statewide, with a pay scale of ₹45,600-95,600. Applicants must be aged 20–45 (born 02.01.1980 – 01.01.2005, per PSC relaxations). Eligibility: Master’s in Arabic (min 45% marks) from a Kerala university/equivalent, B.Ed in Arabic (or as per university statute), and have cleared the Kerala SET for HSS Teachers in Arabic (or specified exemptions, see notification for full list). If B.Ed holders are unavailable in a cycle, those with Master's + SET are eligible (B.Ed must be acquired within 5 years). Exemptions and additional preference also granted to holders of M.Phil, PhD, Post-Doc, NET/JRF, and those with 10 years high school teaching, where specified. Application opens only to SC/ST; others will be rejected without communication. This is a part-time, direct recruitment with NCA validity until backlogs are cleared as per reservation policy.
