Job Description
Applications are invited by Kerala PSC for the High School Teacher (Arabic) in the Education Department. Vacancies are available under the reservation of Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava (Wayanad – 1, Kasaragod – 2, Kozhikode – 1) and Scheduled Caste (Wayanad – 1, Kasaragod – 1, Kozhikode – 1). Pay scale is ₹41,300 – ₹87,000. Applicants should possess a Degree in Arabic or equivalent and B.Ed/B.T/L.T in Arabic, or a recognized Title of Oriental Learning with Language Teacher Training certificate. KTET Category III is required unless exempted. One district only can be chosen while applying. Applications received from candidates other than the notified communities or more than one district will be canceled without intimating them. Selected applicants are prohibited from inter-district transfer for 5 years. Preference is accorded to Jawan's wives, First Class Scouts/Guides, and some teachers according to Kerala PSC rules. The post is regulated under special conditions from applicable government orders.
Eligibility Criteria
Only candidates from Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava and Scheduled Caste communities can apply. Applicants must have a Degree in Arabic (or equivalent) with B.Ed/B.T in Arabic and KTET (Category III) unless exempted. Age should be 18–43 for Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava and 18–45 for SC. Candidates must apply to only one eligible district where the vacancy exists. Maximum age after all relaxations must not exceed 50 years.
