Job Description

Kerala PSC welcomes applications for High School Teacher (Physical Science – Malayalam Medium) reserved to Latin Catholic/Anglo Indian (Kasaragod – 1) and Scheduled Tribe (Thiruvananthapuram – 4, Palakkad – 4, Kasaragod – 1) candidates. The recruitment is through NCA notifications as before there were not sufficient qualified candidates. The remuneration is ₹41,300 – ₹87,000. The candidates should possess a degree in Chemistry or Physics with B.Ed/B.T in the same subject and pass KTET Category III unless exempted. This is a district-level recruitment, and candidates can apply only to a suitable district. Transfer from other districts is prohibited for five years. Applications from other than community or from different districts will be rejected forthwith. They are also eligible if they possess degrees in other related fields such as BScEd (PCM stream), BSc Polymer Chemistry with Physics, or Geology with Chemistry/Physics under special G.O. criteria. They will be selected based on the final Supreme Court decisions on similar petitions.

Eligibility Criteria

Only Latin Catholic/Anglo Indian and Scheduled Tribe candidates can apply. Applicants must hold a Degree in Physical Science (Physics or Chemistry) with B.Ed/B.T and KTET Category III qualification or exemption. Age should be between 18–43 for LC/AI and 18–45 for ST. Candidates must apply to only one district where the vacancy exists for their community. Multiple applications or community mismatch will lead to rejection without notice. Maximum age after relaxation shall not exceed 50 years. Preference will be given to wives of Jawans, First Class Scouts & Guides, and qualified teachers of government primary/nursery schools.
